What is Hair Body & Soul?

Hair Body & Soul is a leading salon in Camberwell that offers hair, beauty and massage services to clients from across Melbourne. Open to women and men, the salon has been in operation for almost 20 years. Aside from in-house services, Hair Body & Soul operates an online store which stocks a natural range of salon-exclusive products from qaba.

Bookings

How do I make an appointment?

It’s easy! Either call our friendly team directly on (03) 9824 4820 or you can book online, by clicking here.

How far in advance should I book?

Whilst we often keep emergency appointments for last minute bookings, we recommend that you book at least 5 days in advance to avoid disappointment.

What happens if I can’t make my hair appointment?

Please let us know as soon as possible if you cannot make an appointment and we’ll arrange an alternative date to see you. If you’re running late to an appointment, give us a call and we’ll either wait for you to arrive or schedule an alternative time to see you depending on our booking schedule.

Is there a fee for missing an appointment?

There is no fee for missing an appointment. To help you remember your visit, we send out a text message the day before you’re due in salon as a reminder.

Do you provide hair/make-up for weddings and other special occasions?

Yes, we provide specialist make-up, by appointment. Our on-site artist is fully trained with Napoleon and has many years of experience. Clients with sensitive skin and other skin conditions or concerns are generally well accommodated.

How much notice should be provided for wedding bookings?

As much as possible – at least a month’s notice is recommended.

Can you get your hair done whilst receiving other beauty services (such as nails) etc?

You sure can! Clients can have nails, waxing and other beauty services completed at the same time as hair, as long as it all fits into schedule. Our receptionists can organise multiple beauty services for you at the time of booking.

Online Shopping

What's available online?

Our gorgeous range of qaba hair care, styling and treatment products are all available online. You can also purchase gift cards and pamper packs to be redeemed in store.

How long will it take for my products to arrive?

We use Australia-Post standard shipping. Though it generally takes 5-7 days for orders in Australia to be delivered, please allow up to 10 days.

Can I send products to my friends/family?

Yes, you can. Simply fill in the postal address where you want the products to arrive.

Can I purchase products (and send them) to an address outside of Australia?

Currently our online store does not support purchases outside of Australia. If you’d like to send our products to an address outside of Australia, please contact us directly via shop@hairbodyandsoul.com.au with your enquiry so that we can assist you.

What's the returns policy?

Only items purchased on the Hair Body & Soul website can be returned to hairbodysoul.com.au for a refund. Items purchased in store must be returned in store.

Returned items must be unopened and in their original, sellable condition and received by Hair Body & Soul within thirty (30) days of the original purchase date.

Please note that the refund amount only applies to product(s) purchased only, any delivery costs will not be refunded. Should you wish to make an exchange, you will need to first return unwanted items before purchasing the desired products.

Why is my hair dry?

Dry hair is caused by many different elements. Changing weather, health, incorrect products, and heat from electrical appliances are just some of the reasons you might have dry hair. Your hair is like your skin, with the correct advice it can be repaired.

Why is my hair oily?

Oily hair can be caused by an imbalance within the body. This can be addressed by using the correct products and hair-care techniques, such as natural shampoo and conditioner. Products containing synthetic ingredients coat the hair, which can also be a major cause of oiliness.

How often should I wash my hair?

Washing your hair every day is not a problem. However, making sure you’re using the correct products is vital. The wrong product can cause your hair to feel dry or limp. We can provide you with a regime that doesn’t require shampooing every day along with dry shampoo products that eliminate the need for frequent washing.

How do I get more volume in my hair?

You can create volume in your hair using many different techniques. Tools such as round brushes, hot rollers and velcro rollers can assist. What’s more, using the correct styling products can help you achieve your desired look – ask your Hair Body & Soul stylist for more information.

How do I tame curly, frizzy hair?

The best advice is to not shampoo your hair too often and to use a leave-in treatment designed to reduce frizz. Using the correct shampoo and conditioner is also essential. We also offer a fantastic product called Kerasilk which can help tame frizzy hair for long periods of time, wash after wash. This in-salon service can be tailored depending on the amount of frizz. Why is my hair limp?

Limp hair can be caused by many different elements such as not having the correct haircut and using the incorrect products. Getting your haircut with lots of texture will give your hair body and movement.

How do I prevent my blonde hair turning brassy or yellow?

Making sure you have the correct colour in the first place will avoid the issue of your hair fading and looking brassy. With this in mind using a preventative treatment such as the qaba blonde range will help tone and keep your blonde locks looking fresh.

How often should I colour my hair?

If you’re colouring your hair to cover grey, then you should really not go more than 5-6 weeks between treatments. If you’re colouring your hair to enhance your style, this should be refreshed as required.

Should I use product before I blow wave my hair?

You should always apply a leave-in treatment for protection whilst blow waving and then follow with a suitable styling product. We have a range of qaba products to choose from that provide great results.

Should I cut my hair even though I’m growing it?

Absolutely. Your hair still requires shape and texture, and it’s important to eliminate any split ends that are stunting your hair’s growth.
